great location but limited breakfast options
The double room was spacious and quiet, awesome for a restful night's sleep. The en suite bathroom was modern, with ample hot water and good water pressure.
While the location was fantastic, the breakfast menu lacked variety.

Strongly recommend for a mini-break over the weekend
Comfortable bed, excellent shower with hot water, and the free Wi-Fi made our stay enjoyable, while the convenient location allowed us to easily explore the area and access nearby dining options.
The noise from the pub below was noticeable at times.

It was just a decent option for a quick stop in Ashbourne with excellent value for money. The live music at the pub was lively and entertaining . If you're sensitive to noise, consider asking for a room on the second floor.

I had a cozy stay with convenient tea and coffee in my room and easy check-in. There were great spots to relax, like the lounge area and a fun karaoke night. The fire alarm went off a few times which was a bit annoying, but overall, I really enjoyed my time! 😄

Solo travelers, great choice
The bed was super comfy, and the Netflix on the TV was a lifesaver after a long day of hiking. The staff were friendly and gave me all the info I needed, made things smooth.
It wasn't cheap, but it was still acceptable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ye Olde Vaults. The room exuded charm, featuring lovely decor and a cushy bed. Despite some evening noise from the pub below, the location and unique character made it worthwhile. A fantastic spot in Ashbourne for art lovers!

missingWrote a review on 21 Maylocal charmsteep staircasemarket proximityunpleasant noise
The pub atmosphere buzzes with local charismas, giving a genuine taste of the town's character. The unique staircase leading to the rooms adds an old-world charm, while the proximity to the market square offers a lively experience.
Parking is a circus, best to use the Pay by Phone app to avoid fines during market days. The lack of soundproofing from the sash windows proves a challenge, especially with live music blaring until 1am. It tests your resolve after a long day. The steep staircase entry may not suit everyone, and the smell of cooking wafts up from the pub kitchen, though it's less noticeable once inside the room. The place feels more like a pub that doubles as a guest house, leading to a bit of an identity crisis.

The location in Ashbourne's market square is fantastic. I loved how central it is. My room was clean, with a nice en suite bathroom. The bed was comfy and the towels were fresh. Really appreciated having the tea and coffee facilities in the room. The landlady was friendly and cute, made check-in smooth. The noise from the pub below was quite intense. I could hear live music until 1 am, tough to sleep. The windows didn't block the sound well, so it reminded me of the band was playing right in my room. Parking was also tricky, especially on market days. All these factors was nice.
